Mission Support and Test Services (MSTS) needed to transition its IP-enabled phone system to IPv6. A major challenge was identifying federal information systems that could not be converted to IPv6 and developing a strategy for replacing or retiring them. MSTS also required a detailed network diagram to map existing infrastructure as well as a complete inventory of all devices, categorized by compliance, in order to fully understand the scope of the transition.

The team created a comprehensive network diagram that outlined security boundaries and produced a global asset inventory categorizing all devices according to their IPv6 compliance. For systems that could not be converted, Agiletek identified and justified those limitations, then provided a clear schedule for their replacement or retirement.
To ensure long-term success, Agiletek reviewed existing infrastructure, address plans, and proposed architecture to highlight potential risks and red flags that could impact the transition. This careful analysis culminated in a complete IPv6 Transition Strategy Statement, offering MSTS a structured and well-defined roadmap for moving forward.
