VMware Architecture and
Design Services

Challenge

Sandia National Laboratories required subject matter expertise to manage and administer its VMware infrastructure. The client needed to automate several critical tasks, including Windows server maintenance and data synchronization, to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. In addition, Sandia needed comprehensive documentation of its existing architecture to establish a clear baseline for future operations.

Solution

Agiletek Solutions deployed experienced subject matter experts to address Sandia’s requirements. Our team designed and implemented automation using PowerShell scripts to streamline Windows server maintenance and Active Directory tasks. Data synchronization between back-end database systems was automated using PowerShell and SQL, reducing dependency on manual intervention.

To enhance overall system management, Agiletek deployed, configured, and maintained the VMware vRealize Suite, providing advanced automation and monitoring capabilities. The team also architected and documented the current environment, ensuring a clear and accurate understanding of the infrastructure.

Technologies Used

The solution combined a range of leading technologies and platforms, including VMware, PowerShell, Active Directory, vSphere, Python, Ansible, and the VMware vRealize Suite, each integrated to maximize automation, stability, and scalability.

Results

Agiletek’s services enabled Sandia National Laboratories to automate critical maintenance and administration tasks, resulting in improved operational efficiency and reduced manual workload. The documented architecture created a strong baseline for future scalability and optimization, while the vRealize Suite deployment introduced advanced management and automation capabilities that strengthened overall infrastructure performance.
